Action research is applied in this study. Observation is made throughout the teaching-learning process. Participants are 7 fifth and sixth grade elementary gifted students. A 10 weeks creative thinking instruction is delivered to the participants to enhance their thinking skills. Portfolio assessment is used to evaluate the students’ performance. Multiple data are gathered, such as self-assessment form, teaching journal, feedback questionnaires from students, interview records in order to have a broader perspective for teaching process. Results of this study are as follows: 1. Participants have showed different performance on creative elements in creative thinking courses. The achievement in curiosity, imagination and facility is higher. 2. Most participants have showed positive attitude in learning process and most of them affirm this creative thinking instruction. 3. The teacher has learned that advance design of courses and set up a good environment of learning is necessary for a successful creative chinking instruction.
