For this purpose, TiO2 colloid is added to the Degussa P25-TiO2 paste. The TiO2 electrodes is formed by doctor-blading method. The addition of the 20% TiO2 colloid can build the interconnection with P25-TiO2 particle for the fast transport of electrons. The TiO2 colloid can be used as the binding agent to supersede the high temperature sintering process.X-ray diffraction (XRD) is used to determine the crystallographic structure of TiO2 colloid and P25-TiO2. The surface morphology of thin films is studied using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The amount of dye adsorbed is measured by UV-visible spectrophotometer. Intensity modulated photocurrent spectroscopy and intensity modulated photovoltage spectroscopy (IMPS/IMVS) are studied. Furthermore, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) analysis is performed. The conversion efficiency and short-circuit current of the studied DSSC containing 20 wt% of TiO2 colloid is four times higher than that obtained in cell without any TiO2 colloid.
