Stratified random sampling is adopted to collect questionnaires.464 questionnaires were delivered, and 452 vaild questionnaires were received. The measurement applied in this study includes "Students' basic information","Self-concept Scale",and "Peer relationship Scale".The descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé's test, Pearson's product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression analysis are used to analyze the data. The research results are as below: 1.The difference study about the students' individual and family variable on self-concept. (1) There are significant differences on different genders about the dimension of physical and mental self-concept.The boy students have better physical and mental self-concept than the girl students. (2) There are significant differences on different grades about the dimension of family, school, moral and overall self-concept.The 7th grade students are better than the 9th grade students. (3) There are significant differences on different academic performances about the dimension of mental, family, school, moral and overall self-concept.The 1st-10th rank students are better than the 21th-31th rank students. 2.The difference study about the students' individual and family variable on peer relationship. (1) There are significant differences on different genders about the dimension of friendship, group activity and overall peer relationship.The girl students are better than the boy students. (2) There are significant differences on different grades about the dimension of friendship, group activity, social skill and overall peer relationship.The 7th grade students are better than the 9th grade students. (3) There are significant differences on different academic performances about the dimension of friendship, group activity, social skill and overall peer relationship.The 1st-10th rank students are better than the 21th-31th rank students. (4) There are significant differences on different family socioeconomic statuses about the dimension of group activity. The middle family socioeconomic status students are better than the lower family socioeconomic status students. 3.The correlation among all the dimensions of self-concept and peer relationship are positively correlated. 4.The dimension of school self-concept can positively predict peer relationship. Based on these findings, suggestions to teachers, parents, students and future studies are presented.
