Description
Summary:碩士 === 慈濟大學 === 社會工作學系碩士班 === 103 === The aims of the study. Its purpose is to explore the grieving and readjustment process of bereaved families — including both spouse and children of the deceased family member. Methods. Three participants from the same family, whose beloved one had donated corpse to Medical Simulation Center of Tzu Chi University, were recruited for the study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted for each participant. Results and discussion. 1. Family members varied in their grieving reactions given the facts that they had different roles to play in the faas well as they were in different development stages.2. The qualities of the relationship between deceased one and survived families affect the grieving process of family members. The family member’s opinion is very important in the decision making of body donation.. The ceremony and death ritual held for the family of body donor were very important for family members and their relatives. 3. Changes in the family structure caused some difficulties in the family, including finance, child rearing, and support systems. 4. The reason that family members agree with the deceased one on donating body for medical education is out of respect for their beloved family.
