description 碩士 === 大漢技術學院 === 流通與行銷管理研究所 === 104 === Titled “Work Stress and Daycare Service Effectiveness”, this study aims to observe the influences of how preschool caretakers deal with work stress and daycare service effectiveness based on their educational background. Using survey research, the study targets the preschool caretakers in Hualien public preschools. 343 questionnaires were distributed, among them 318 are effective and the effective rate remains 94.2%. The questionnaires have been running through several analysis such as Validity and Reliability analysis, Descriptive Statistics, Independent Samples T-Test, One-way Analysis of Variance, Scheffé's Method and Pearson Product-moment Correlation to find the results. The research results are as following: 1. The overall preschool caretakers consider their job stress is below medium on the chart. And the factor relevant to job stress ranked highest is “Job burden”, while the lowest is “Work relationship”. 2. The preschool caretakers showcases their daycare service effectiveness higher than medium of the chart. Among the factors, “Responsiveness” is ranked the highest while “Tangibles” is ranked the lowest. 3. According to the One-way Analysis of Variance, a. No significant differences were shown between the “Size of the preschool” and “Teacher-student proportion” of personal background to the “Work stress” and “Daycare service effectiveness” of the preschool caretakers. b. “Work relationship” that forms work stress, however, does vary based on the different educational background of the preschool caretakers. c. “Administration organization” has a significant difference depends on age, marriage, educational background and teaching experiences. According to the statistics, those who age 26 to 30, graduated from junior college and have been teaching more than 21 years have the highest work stress at the field of “Administration organization”. d. “Teaching in classes” also has a significant difference among the caretakers. Based on the statistics, those who work as teachers as well as directors have the highest work stress at the field of “Administration organization” that mainly forms work stress. e. As for the One-way Analysis of Variance of daycare service effectiveness, it indicates that “Responsiveness” has a significant difference as the factor like age and marriage varies. Those caretakers who age more than 41 have the highest “Responsiveness” in daycare service effectiveness. f. “Tangibles”, “Empathy” and “Reliability” all do not form a significant difference in the personal background of daycare service effectiveness. 4. Where there are gifted and disabled students in the preschool has no significant difference in the work stress and daycare service effectiveness that the caretakers are aware of. 5. The gifted and disabled students form the work stress that is relevant to “Teaching in classes”. As under this factor, “Too many children makes me unable to meet the individual child’s need properly” ranked the highest. As for the daycare service effectiveness, the highest factor is “I am a qualified teacher” under “Assurance”. “Assurance” refers to that the caretakers are equipped with the professional information and ability to carry out day care services, and they are able to focus on teaching the children. 6. The correlation coefficient of Pearson Product-moment Correlation relevant to “Work stress” and “Daycare service effectiveness” are both -0.158, which suggest a low rate. In other words, receiving more stress at work does not impact the daycare service effectiveness. The result shows the caretakers are highly devoted and are doing their job positively. Even though they have to endure both work and mental stress, they still showcase an excellent daycare service effectiveness. We have made specific suggestions to education authorities, educational institutions, caretakers and those who want to do relevant research in the future based on the results of this study.
