The test subjects were fifth grade students in elementary schools. Samples were randomly drawn from an elementary school in New Taipei City. The quality of the results were examined according to the SPSS 18.0 for Windows, which includes the analysis of difficulty, discrimination, reliability, and validity. The TestGraf 98 software was then used to perform the item option characteristic curve analysis. The results showed that this test was useful and feasible for measuring problem solving skills for senior elementary school students. Finally, based on the results, the researcher drew conclusions and provided suggestions for teachers in elementary schools on problem solving tests and future studies in this field.
