Currently, it has become a trend that various teaching platforms are being used in teaching fields. Of all the subjects, the learning effectiveness of English always shows twin-peaks phenomenon. To eliminate learning differences, teaching by developing and applying learning platforms can enhance and promote students in English learning. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of junior high school students’ learning motivation and learning achievement by integrating online learning platform “Cool English” into English teaching. A pre-experimental design was adopted with 28 students of ninth-graders in Nantou County and a six-week teaching experiment was conducted. The teaching materials were from Nan-I book 5, lesson 7 to lesson 9. The English learning motivation questionnaire and the English achievement test were adopted as the instruments of analysis before and after the experiment. Data analysis of students’ feedbacks and instructor’s journals was also adopted during the experiment. The research gathered the qualitative and quantitative data to investigate effectiveness of online learning platform integrated into English teaching. The main findings of this study are summarized as the following: 1. Using online learning platform integrated into English teaching can improve junior high school students’ learning motivation. 2. Using online learning platform integrated into English teaching can improve junior high school students’ learning achievement. 3. Students have positive and optimistic attitudes through teacher using online learning platform integrated into English teaching. 4. The perspectives of teacher using online learning platform including how to keep the advantages and change the limits to promote learning efficiency.
