This study was to investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and scientific literacy of primary school teachers. A questionnaire survey was conducted at fifteen schools and 200 valid questionnaires were collected. The data were finally analyzed by statistical methods such as independent sample test, analysis of variance, and regression analysis. The main conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. According to the average of teachers’ self-efficacy in Kaohsiung City, male teachers have better performance. 2. The science teachers in Kaohsiung City have a better sense of self-efficacy. 3. The teachers in Kaohsiung City with higher degree of awareness of self-efficacy have better performance in scientific literacy. The data were finally analyzed by statistical methods such as independent sample test, analysis of variance, and regression analysis. The main conclusions of this study are as follows:
1. According to the average of teachers’ self-efficacy in Kaohsiung City, male teachers have better performance.
2. The science teachers in Kaohsiung City have a better sense of self-efficacy.
3. The teachers in Kaohsiung City with higher degree of awareness of self-efficacy have better performance in scientific literacy.
Finally, according to the conclusions, further recommendations were made for the educational administration, schools, primary school teachers, and future research.
