The impact is quite powerful and able to knock down opponents frequently and unexpectedly because it happens so quickly. Thus, the spinning hook kick can deter competitors from offensive tactics as they try to contact you. The spinning hook kick often results in high score action. Indeed, it may result in a critical impact, thereby winning the match. The author has investigated literature and research, both domestic and foreign. He studied the analyses and applications of movement of the spinning hook kick. The contribution of the literature review was found to be sparse. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to understand the spinning hook kick velocity including minimum, maximum, and mean;and further, to analyze the action types of technical variations/imperfections with their different effects on kicking velocity. The research method was to probe into the kicking performance on fifteen taekwondo athletes (ages 17 to 20 years). Based on biomechanical characteristics to execute data analysis from kicking is used as the research. The instrument of study used was Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 digital camera, and After Effects cc capturing system. The study mainly utilized the statistical software SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) version 21.0 to deal with the descriptive analysis, chi-square test, independent sample t test, and one-way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), with a significance level of α = .05. The results showed that:1. The kicking velocity mean = .5261±.05998s with the minimum = .43s and the maximum = .75s. 2. The frequency distribution of the action types of technical variations/imperfections is as follows support-foot moving 21times (17%), stance-position squatting 11times (8.9 % ), support-foot part (heel) rotating 18 times (14.6 % ), arms unfolding 24 times (19.6%), without flexing the knee of the kick-foot 12 times (9.8%), turn-back kicking 37 times (30.1%)(p<.001). It was further confirmed, that turn-back kicking was the primary factor in causing the action types of technical variations/imperfections from the spinning hook kick, which was followed by arms unfolding, support-foot moving, support-foot part (heel) rotating, without flexing the knee of the kick-foot, turn-back kicking, and stance-position squatting. 3. In terms of kicking velocity differences, the means were .49±.026 and 56±.056s, respectively (p<.05). There were fewer the action types of technical variations/imperfections. The athletes would have faster kicking velocity and better sports performance by keeping things simple. 4. Here were the differences of kicking velocity in the action types of technical variations/imperfections. Support-foot part (heel) rotating could be one of the main factor in slowing the kicking velocity of the spinning hook kick (p<.05). Moreover, there was the less effect on support-foot moving or stance-position squatting. Both of them were still needed to make corrections for enhancing sports performance and effective attacking levels. Therefore, the action types of technical variations/imperfections might clearly reveal athletic shortcomings. The suggestions of the author would indicate there is a need for a systematic breakdown of each movement by experts and scholars so they could be standardized and made more effective.
