Description
Summary:碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 105 === This study aims to explore the correlation between teachers’ communication media with parents and the communication efficacy at You-chang Elementary School (YCES) in Kaohsiung City. The objectives of this research are as the following. 1.To understand the current situation of teachers’ communication media with parents and the communication efficacy at YCES. 2.To examine teachers’ communication media with parents and the communication efficacy at YCES based on various personal backgrounds. 3.To explore the correlation between various teacher-parent communication media and the communication efficacy at YCES. 4.To propose meaningful suggestions for teachers to improve their communication efficacy with parents by using proper communication media. The subjects in this study were teachers at YCES. The study examined 4 communication media: face-to-face communication, telephone communication, written messages, electronic approaches. The communication efficacy was assessed in 3 aspects: effectiveness, accuracy, and satisfaction. The resultant data collected from communication questionnaires were analyzed quantitatively through descriptive statistics, the t-test, the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and the Pearson product-moment correlation. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1.The adoption of teacher-parent communication media at YCES is at medium frequency. The most frequently adopted medium is the telephone, while the electronic approaches are the least selected. 2.In terms of communication efficacy, face-to-face communication and electronic approaches receive the highest degree of satisfaction, telephone communication is highly correlated with communication accuracy, and written messages reflect a high level of communication effectiveness. 3.Female, elder and homeroom teachers at YCES adopt communication media more frequently. 4.Male, elder, and homeroom teachers demonstrate higher communication efficacy. 5.The teacher-parent communication media and the communication efficacy at YCES are moderately positively correlated. According the above-mentioned results, this study proposes meaningful suggestions for elementary school teachers, administrators and future studies.
