Summary:碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 105 === The study aims to explore the current situation and the relationship of personality traits and teaching effectiveness of the teachers of of Kaohsiung Municipal Jhongjheng Elementary School in Lingya District. The study also attempts to understand the difference in personality traits of the municipal elementary school teachers having different backgrounds as well as the difference in their teaching effectiveness. Employing questionnaire survey method, the study takes the teachers of Kaohsiung Municipal Jhongjheng Elementary School as the research targets. After using the research tools of “Questionnaire of Teachers’ Personality Traits” and “Questionnaire of Teachers’ Teaching Effectiveness,” the study analyzes and discusses the collected information using statistical methods, such as descriptive statistical analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation, and then makes the following conclusions of the study: 1. Regarding the overall personality traits of the elementary school teachers, most of them are positive , and show the highest tendency towards agreeableness . 2. The teaching effectiveness of the elementary school teachers is above average, and is particularly good in performance of class management. 3. The elementary school teachers of different genders, ages, and taking different duties do not have significant difference in personality traits. But the teachers with different education levels and different lengths of service have significant difference in personality traits. 4. The elementary school teachers of different genders, ages, seniority, and taking different duties do not have significant difference in teaching effectiveness. But the teachers with different education levels have significant difference in teaching effectiveness. 5. The personality traits of the teachers show significant positive correlation with their teaching effectiveness.
