Summary:碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 適應體育學系 === 105 === The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of increasing the aerobic dance course on the physical fitness and professional functional capacity for students with intellectual disabilities in special education schools. The subjects of this research were based on 21 students of Special education in New Taipei City. They were divided into experimental group (n = 11) and control group (n = 10). The experimental group received the aerobic dance course for 10 weeks, a total of 24 lessons, and 50 minutes each time, whereas the control group maintained the normal course. Paired-sample t-test, Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) were performed for the data analysis. Statistical significance was set at a level of p < .05. The results indicated that: 1. The aerobic dance course for students with intellectual disabilities can improve the physical fitness, and its effectiveness to be further clarified. 2. The aerobic dance course for the professional functional capacity of the static balance, the ability of continuous bending and then pick up have a significant effect.   This study concludes that the increase in aerobic dance courses can enhance the professional functional capacity of students with intellectual disabilities. It is suggested that the curriculum design of students with intellectual disabilities in the future should be taken into account to increase the diversity of vocational education curriculum.
