Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 105 === This thesis is emphasis on Richard Strauss “Vier Lieder” Op. 27 , using background of composer and his composing style with analysis the poetry of rhyme to discussion on vocal interpretation. This thesis’s bibliography is according to New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians and other bibliographys、journal. And using the era of Richard Strauss to understanding about his composing style, which consistent with programs of “Vier Lieder”. In the end of 19th century, lied has different changed, not only transplant from orchestra to piano, but also development a new kind of music called ” orchestragrsang”. The rich structure combination with piano and vocal, made lied has new innovation. In 19th century of lied, except the composer and his composing style and ascension status of piano, the most important is about how did the composer choose the poetry. Also Richard Strauss the way of select poetry is different from the others composers, but only the poetry can touched his heart, even it not famous at that era, Richard Strauss will using it to composed. Those programs are the wedding gift to his wife, except No.1 “Ruhe, meine seele”is compared to his later period description about the war made he feel helpless,the others are description about how except to his marriage.
