Description
Summary:碩士 === 醒吾科技大學 === 觀光休閒系所 === 106 === Climacteric is an inevitable period which is hard to get alone with for some women. Therefore, how to live healthier during this period has become an important issue. The article is carried out in order to research the following objects among menopausal women in an urban area: (1) Exploring the relationship between recreational participation, menopausal symptoms, and quality of life; (2) Understanding different influences on demographic variables, menopausal symptoms and quality of life; (3) Analyzing the correlation between menopausal symptoms and quality of life. Greene’s Menopausal Symptoms Scale and Questionnaires of Quality of Life from WHO were used to evaluate for our objects in 460 female aged 40-59 who live in urban areas (Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, and Taoyuan City). Descriptive statistics, independent-sample t-test, One-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and regression were applied to explore the colled data. The results reveal: the older menopausal women have more severe menopausal symptoms than the younger. In terms of quality of life, women who live in big city (New Taipei City) have higher quality of life than those in small ones (Keelung, etc). Women who received higher education and income tend to have better quality of life as well. Besides, menopausal symptoms have significantly negative correlation with quality of life, which indicated that the more menopausal symptoms they have, the worse quality of life they will get. Recreational participation has significantly positive effect on quality of life. Therefore, women should develop the habit to participate various leisure activities in order to reduce menopausal symptoms.
