Also, the study attempts to help us understand how different backgrounds affect the personality traits and job satisfaction of the teachers of Youchang Elementary School. A questionnaire survey was conducted for the study. The questionnaire titled” Personality Traits and Job Satisfaction of the teachers of Youchang Elementary School of Nanzih District, Kaohsiung” was used as the research tool for the survey. Based on the analysis of statistics, the results of the survey are listed below: 1. The most common personality traits of the majority of teachers of the Elementary School were conscientiousness and agreeableness and the least was neuroticism. 2. Job satisfaction of the teachers of Youchang Elementary School of Nanzih District, Kaohsiung was above average. “Overall feeling” scored the highest, and “salary benefits” scored the lowest. 3. In personality traits, there were significant differences among the teachers with different genders and educational backgrounds. 4. In job satisfaction, there were significant differences among the teachers with different ages and positions. 5. The personality traits and job satisfaction of the teachers were partially correlated with each other significantly. According to the results, the author makes several recommendations for education authorities, elementary school teachers and future researchers’ references.
