However, the copyright owners have always been fought for their rights and interests permanently. And hereby cause the overexpansion of copyright. The Copyright terms have been extended several times, and copyright covers more widely than it used to be. The growing power of copyright may become an obstacle against cultural development. Especially in digital technology area, copyright law is expanding in a digital society to cover too much things than originally intended. The use of digital technology will easily infringe other owner’s copyright. Such as download or upload works of art, and other general computer manipulation. This dissertation will take peer-to-peer file sharing software  (P2P, in brief) as an analogy to describe the phenomenon of copyright overexpansion. From the perspective of the original legal purpose and development of copyright to explain how copyright makes users of digital technology and internet bear unreasonable risks and liability. And finally will propose resolutions to copyright overexpansion.
