Stationery supplier in stationery purchases would usually offer volume discounts like the middle market retailers. In addition, when the stationery product purchase volume reaches a certain level, the entire purchase volume of that product can be offered at a lower purchase price. Furthermore, the middle market retailer does not have a rigid standard practice when selling, relying more on past experience when selling stationery products. The middle market retailer, in order to reach the volume discount level and lower the import costs offered by the supplier, would usually result in excess purchase volume. The excess products result in higher inventory costs and fixed import costs or lack of warehouse capacity. In addition, if the sales figures of the stationery retailers do not meet quota, the supplier will allow middle market retailers to return items. When the middle market retailers decide to return items, aside from losing the discount that was given, they have to pay an extra fee. This study proposes an inventory management model that addresses the middle market retailers inventory problem. This model takes into account total volume discount and limited warehouse capacity restrictions. Various stationery retailers decide on the order and return strategies in order to derive maximum profits during the projected period. This study gathers data from several stationery retailers located in the south and uses the model as part of the study. The paper uses numerical testing through a commercial software called Lingo 12.0 and undertakes sensitivity analysis on each variable. The study proposes some conclusions and suggestions to be used as reference for related industries. 游鵬勝 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 50 zh-TW |
