Therefore,teacher-student interaction and teaching environment friendliness are pertinent to a special education teacher’s safety and security in theoccupation fieldIn the teaching practice, special education teachers are more susceptible to harm in the occupation field environment than regular teachers. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the key factors affecting the occupational hazard of special education teachers through weighted analysis. Research Method: A modified Delphi method wasused in collaboration with a literature review to determine the preliminary keymajor-factors and key sub-factors.Using a modified Delphi expert questionnaire, expert opinions on the preliminary set of key major-factors and key sub-factorswere compiled.Next, the decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method was adopted to analyze the degree of relevance and influence among the key major-factors.Finally, the resultswereintegrated andpresented by mind maps, thereby completing the mind mapping decision model. Results and Discussion:A total of 6 key major-factors and 21 key sub-factors were obtained following a literature review with a modified Delphi approachand the derived consensus from 17 experts. The quantitative results obtained using the DEMATEL method revealed thatthekey major-factor “unfriendly campus environment” yielded the highest degree of relevance among the factors, and was also the most ivsusceptible to influence;“poor post-event procedures” was a crucial factor that influenced other key major-factors.“Emotional disorders,” “inadequate understanding of the overall status of the class,” “poor adaptation to new environments,” “insufficient assistance from professional teams,” “inadequate facility environment safety,” and “lack of standard operating procedures” were ranked as the highestkey sub-factors under each of their corresponding key major- factors. The overall qualitative and quantitative results were integrated and presented clearly by using a mind map, whichcan provide crucial information as a mind mapping decision model regarding decision making or resource distribution.
