Research subjects are three Grade 3 and Grade 4 students with mild mental retardation in elementary schools of central Taiwan. This study adopts multiple probes across subjects design of single subject. Independent variable is life management skills instruction of AutoTutor. Dependent variable is subjects’ life skill competence. Experimental process includes baseline phase, intervention phase and maintenance phase. By visual analysis, this study explores and collects data of related results. Research findings are shown below: 1.AutoTutor instruction shows immediate effect on desk management skill of elementary school students with mental retardation. Maintenance effect and generalization effect are different according to subjects’ competence performance. 2.AutoTutor instruction shows immediate effect on bag management skill of elementary school students with mental retardation. Maintenance effect and generalization effect are different according to subjects’ competence performance. 3.AutoTutor instruction shows immediate effect on after-meal management skill of elementary school students with mental retardation. Maintenance effect is different according to subjects’ competence performance.
