| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 運輸科學系 === 106 === The mode choices have changed after the Taoyuan International Airport MRT opened to Taoyuan International Airport. In the era of emphasizing fast and convenient transportation, transportation is not just about carrying but more attention is paid to the service quality when transporting. Due to the service quality improvement of vehicles and maintenance of strengths, the airport needs to satisfy passengers’ demands. In addition, there are few researches on the selection of transportation vehicles in Taoyuan International Airport. Therefore, this study took individual selection theory related to behavior choice in previous studies and evaluated the data with Polynomial Logit Mode in SPSS to classify the usage of external vehicle of the airport.
This research is focus on inbound passengers as participants to collect data with questionnaires to investigate and discuss over the factors influencing passengers’ selection of transportation vehicle. The factors included: gender, age, monthly salary, marital status, education background, number of people accompanying, the period of entry into Taiwan, purpose of entry into Taiwan, the number of entry into Taiwan annually, and current destination (county/city), which might impact on the passengers when choosing transportation vehicles. The results showed that self-driving and passenger bus are the most preferred vehicles in airport.
