Housing policy management has been changed from trade pattern of public housing to rent pattern of social housing and rental subsidy. While social welfare policy has changed, the human resource management and work content were adjusted. Its result has affected cognition of housing administrative staff for role conflict, role confusion, role burden or other factors. It has also increased cognitive intensity of psychological distress, fatique, and reduced attendance for their psychological reaction of work stress. Up to now, there has no research done about work stress of governmental housing administrative staff in Taiwan. The purpose of this research is to enhance work management of governmental housing administrative staff. The aim of this research has studied on the related factors of work stress for the governmental housing administrative staff. The intent of this research is to make a contribution for reference of the work management and human resource planning for the housing sector in government. This research investigative target is governmental housing administrative staffs who work at the Construction and planning administration, Ministry of Interior and 6 metropolitan government. The tool of investigation is survey of questionnaire, the content includes "work stress source scale" and "work stress reaction scale". Method of survey is general investigation. This research has been sent 342 copies of questionnaires and has received back 294 copies. Recovery ratio of questionnaires is 85%. Effective questionnaires are 271 copies. Statistic method have been used t-test, one-way Anova analysis, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, multi-regression analysis. This research has tested relationship of parameters each other, power of explanation and prediction of related factors of work stress . The results of this research will provide specific suggestions for the reference of governmental housing administrative staffs' practical work and for the future research.
