Life has become quite convenient, and yet it seems that we have less time for exercise. A lot of people nowadays lead a sedentary lifestyle, resulting in the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases. In an attempt to improve the exercise habits of modern society, the creator combined the concept of a step tracking App with gaming to create the “Plump Circus” exercise management App. This work uses escaped circus animals as the main characters. These escaped circus animals have become overweight due to poor diet habits. The goal of the user is to assist the ringmaster in finding the escaped overweight animals. Users help obese animals lose weight. There are the characters for this App: cats, squirrels, and puppies. As users exercise, the story will develop and the body shapes of the animals will change along with the story, returning them to their former Appearances, allowing the circus to perform as usual. This work seamlessly combines a pedometer with a management simulation game. In view of the popularity of mobile devices and the Internet, the artist has selected iOS mobile devices as the gaming platform. The artist writes a program to record the number of steps using the built-in sensors of a smartphone, combining exercise with an animal collection and cultivation game. Once the user reaches their exercise goal, the obese animal becomes thinner. While collecting various cute animals, users are also able to develop regular exercise habits for themselves. Once they reach a goal, they also receive a medal, which is combined with sports-related knowledge and paired with a chart that visualizes the steps of their exercise. Users can use the round progress bar to check how much further they need to go before reaching their goal. Furthermore, they can also use the bar chart to keep track of their daily number of steps and overall level of exercise. The exercise management App, “Plump Circus”, promotes health knowledge and helps users maintain regular exercise habits. Key words: Sport Management App, game, step counter motion, business formation and iOS devices LIU, CHA-LIN 劉家伶 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 97 zh-TW
