Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 數位媒體設計系 === 106 === As Taiwan enters the advanced age society, the population aging index keeps rising, and the elderly face the changes in physical and mental functions accompanied by aging, which is not only affects the quality of life, but also increases the burden of society and family. Domestic elderly-related industries not only need to provide perfect protection and care services, but also need to focus on diversified product development to meet with the needs of the elderly at all levels, and help the elderly to adjust the aging process healthily. This study expects to combine interactive technology and the elderly experiences to design the interactive installation suitable for the elderly. It imports technological services from the living background of the elderly with three major elements of nostalgia, leisure and entertainment interactive games, so as to bring better quality of life for the elderly. First, This study explores the physical and mental functions and perceptual characteristics of the elderly to understand their needs for life, through the analysis of the elderly perceptual stimulation and training related research, as well as the induction of domestic and foreign elderly interaction installation related cases, to establish the design principles of this study, and then follow these design principles with working for prototype design and development of “Guliu Guliu” and “Farming Time”. Based on the field experience, this study used the user interview method to understand the operations of the elderly. It used the SUS and QUIS questionnaire to collect the interaction and feelings of the elderly on the works, and evaluated the willingness, pleasure and applicability of the elderly to participate in the interaction. In the meanwhile, all data were summarized and verified by expert interviews. The findings of this research are as follows: (1) Elderly people are willing to use technology interactive installation. (2) Elderly people use interactive installation for active aging will have positive influence. (3) The technology products related to the elderly with their own experiences, it will be more acceptable by elderly people. (4) Promoting the effect of perceptual experience of interactive installation, such as dynamic vision, sound effects, etc. will enable to attract elderly people’s attention in interactive process. (5) Using interactive installation can train users' cognitive ability and be able to attain the effect of body sensory stimulation and activate physical power.
