| Summary: | 碩士 === 正修科技大學 === 金融管理研究所 === 107 === The purpose of this study is to analyze financial conditions of the overall index composition stocks by applying the financial ratios. In addition, the study will use two well-known index composition stocks which are MSCI Taiwan Index and Taiwan 50 Index as the research samples. Data analysis will be operated by Taiwan Economic Journal (TEJ) and t-test methods.
According to the results of this study, there are two findings: First, during the study period, the stability of various financial indicators of MSCI Taiwan Index was slightly worse than that of Taiwan 50 Index stocks. Second, during the study period, the financial performance on liquidity ratio and debt management ability of MSCI Taiwan Index was better than that of Taiwan 50 Index stocks. This result shows that MSCI Taiwan Index is superior to Taiwan 50 Index stocks on the ability to liquidate short-term assets, and repay long-term debt.
