Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 機械與自動化工程學系 === 107 === In this research, an improved beta type stirling engine was designed and created. Based on the suggestions made by the two former researchers, the β-type Stirling engine with high heat conversion efficiency was selected to create the new Stirling engine, also known as the coaxial piston-displacer Stirling engine. The rotation speed, torque, and work done of the new engine were studied and discussed. Firstly, the 3D drawing software Solidworks is used to model and simulate whether the object is collided for adjustment, and the thermal simulation in the cylinder is performed by commercial codes FLUENT. After the simulations was implemented, the 3D drawing is converted into the 2D drawing. The engine’s parts were sent to machine shop and the modification of the parts were discussed. After the parts were completed and the engine were assembly and tested. Then the data is recorded and compared, the experimental data with the monitoring system (power output) after the operation of the mechanism is stable, and the performance is analyzed.
