Firstly, the researcher collected relevant literature at home and abroad. The study utilized questionnaire survey, the subject of the study is elementary school teachers in Taichung city, Overall, a total of 240 questionnaires were distributed, and 211 questionnaires were returned, resulting in the return rate of 87.92%. The recovery rate for the valid 200 questionnaires was 94.79%. The results of descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, and ANOVA are as follows, 1. Elementary school teachers in Taichung city have intermediate understanding for mathematical core competency’s detailed content. 2. Elementary school teachers in Taichung city agree on most of the mathematical core competency courses. 3. Elementary school teachers in Taichung city remain a positive attitude toward the new curriculum guidelines. 4. Different background factors would cause significant differences on the teachers'' understanding of mathematical core competency’s detailed content. 5. Different background factors would cause significant differences on the comparative analysis of the teachers’ opinions on mathematical core competency’s detailed content. 6. Different background factors would cause significant differences on the comparative analysis of teachers'' attitude toward the application of the new curriculum.
