Accompanied with the development of electricity sector, the pollutant and climate change are rising sharply because the electricity production process emits carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. In this research, an investigation of efficiency of the electricity production process is tested in 17 Asia Pacific countries during the period of 2013–2017 ¬via the undesirable model in Data envelopment analysis (DEA). According to the rule of the undesirable model, the inputs, desirable output, and undesirable output are defined as follows nonrenewable and renewable as inputs, electricity generation as desirable output, and CO2 emissions as undesirable output. After all data are collected and checked carefully, they are applied into the undesirable model to compute the efficient and inefficient terms of every nation in every year, and the scores point out the effect level from the electricity generation to inefficient terms. Besides, the empirical analysis results indicate a feasible solution of inputs and bad output excesses, and good output shortfalls in order to improve the inefficient terms.
