| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 107 === Gustav Mahler’s symphonies used various fragments from his early works, mainly from his lieders. The author tries to analyse those songs into smaller units in this thesis. After the analyse processes, the author will compare the units and fragments between songs and symphonies. In each chapter of Interpretation and Conducting, he wil discuss about the practical aspect of rehearsing techinique, instead of how to use various conducting gestures, the author tried to realize the spirit of the works, and how it should be rehearsed. Start with analyzing, then to rehearsal skill and interpretational decision. The goal of this thesis is to achieve the music not from hand but from heart.
