Description
Summary:In this paper, a PID sliding mode (PIDSM) control with constant switching frequency for doubly salient electromagnetic generator (DSEG) is developed for enhancing voltage precision. The operate principle of controller is described in detail subsequently and the steady characteristic condition of the system is deduced by Lyapunov function based on the mathematical model and working principle of the generator. Moreover, parameters calculation solution is given with the consideration of the system stability. Next, stability analysis, the method about value selection of sliding mode coefficient was constructed and controller model was established to obtain sliding plane and phase trajectory. Then, a field-circuit coupling simulation model of the voltage regulation system for DSEG is built by electromagnetic finite element analysis technique and transient solver of control circuit. Finally, the controller of DSEG system based on FPGA is fulfilled to implement the algorithmic logic of the PIDSM control and generate the PWM control signals using Verilog HDL. Both simulations and experiments show that DSEG system under PIDSM control algorithm based on FPGA has good voltage regulation accuracy and steady-state precision.
