| Summary: | Se presentan los resultados de las investigaciones realizadas por más de veinte años por el Centro de Investigaciones Marinas de la Universidad de La Habana en la nutrición del camarón blanco Litopenaeus schmitti, donde se estudiaron diferentes aspectos de los requerimientos nutricionales, enzimas digestivas, aditivos, dietas para la larvicultura y la maduración así como ingredientes empleados en la formulación del alimento, que aportaron una información fundamental para el cultivo de esta especie y que permiten incrementar los conocimientos nutricionales de los camarones peneidos.
ABSTRACT
The results of the investigations accomplished for over 20 years by the Center of Marine Research of the Havana University in the nutrition of the white shrimp Litopenaeus schmitti, are shown. Were studied different aspects of the nutritional requirements, digestive enzymes, additives, diets for the larviculture and the maturation as well as ingredients used in the formulation of the foods, that they contributed a fundamental piece of information for the culture of this species and that they allow increase the nutrition knowledge of the shrimps penaeid.
