This paper briefly introduces the main contents of the 64th SPWLA annual logging symposium. All the 127 papers are analyzed emphatically from 15 special topics such as conventional/unconventional formation evaluation and saturation and fluid analysis. Based on this, analyze and summarize the latest development in petrophysics and logging basic theory, logging tools and new methods, comprehensive evaluation on complex reservoirs and unconventional reservoirs. On this basis, the international development trends of log methods, logging tools and methods for logging log interpretation & evaluation are discussed and analyzed. Besides, reasonable suggestions for the development of domestic well logging technology are proposed.
