Description
Summary:Epithelioid angiosarcoma involving the lung is a rare entity that can present with nodules or consolidations on CT imaging. We describe the case of a 23-year-old woman who presented with chronic cough and pleuritic chest pain and consolidations on CT chest who ultimately underwent diagnostic biopsy. A high index of suspicion is required for this disease, and biopsy is essential for the diagnosis of angiosarcoma. Histological evaluation and immunohistochemical analysis are helpful for the diagnosis of epithelioid angiosarcoma, and expression of CD31 is supportive of the diagnosis.
