Description
Summary:This paper proposes a series of reflections on comparative literature and its relationship with cultural studies, with particular emphasis on literature’s place in this relationship. It addresses the importance of interdisciplinarity and multiculturalism to re-evaluate the perspectives or tools used to address both literary analysis and cultural practices in general. It also reflects on socio-historical concern and commitment to achieve a productive approach. Via a general consideration of the aims of contextualising and the relationships and complementation between discourses, it provides a contrasting dialogue between different positions.
