Summary:The legal aspects of subsoil utilization regulation in Russia are investigated in the article. The main normative-legal acts and CIS legislation review referring to this sphere are analyzed. The stages of the Russian legislation development in the sphere of subsoil utilization are systemized. The variants of payability mechanism application and legal consequences of the choice are analyzed. The legal characteristics of license agreements in subsoil utilization system and agreements on products division are given. The main drawbacks of the legal regulation of subsoil utilization regulation in Russia are extinguished.
