| الملخص: | En el siguiente artículo analizo el conflicto religioso representado en El oro de Mallorca, novela incompleta de Rubén Darío. A partir de la dilucidación de ese motivo recurrente en la narración, señalo las técnicas literarias modernas mediante las cuales se relata lo que acontece en la conciencia del protagonista. Las indagaciones sobre la fe y la espiritualidad del artista en el mundo moderno desembocan en reflexiones sobre el arte y la mente humana, a las cuales corresponde una singular propuesta narrativa.
Abstract
In the following article I analyze the religious conflict represented in El oro de Mallorca, the incom- plete novel by Rubén Darío. Based on the elucidation of this recurring theme in this work, I point out the modern literary techniques through which the events in the protagonist's conscience are nar- rated. The inquiries into the artist's faith and spirituality in the modern world lead to reflections on art and the human mind, which correspond to a particular narrative development.
