| Summary: | Background: Emotion Regulation and Attachment to god are among significant factors influencing Life Satisfaction. however, it is worth noting whether cognitive emotion regulation plays a mediating role in the relationship between attachment to God and life satisfaction Aims: The purpose of this study was to investigate the prediction of the life satisfaction based on of attachment to God with mediating role of cognitive emotional regulation. Method: For to do, This study was based the correlation method and path analysis design, 352 students from yasouj University were chosen by using multi-stage-cluster sampling method. The participants complete these questionnaires: Multidimensional Life Satisfaction Scale (2001), Beck McDonald attachment to God inventory (2004) and Cognitive Emotion Regulation questionnaire (2002). All data analyzed by structural equation model.Results: The results indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between attachment to God and life satisfaction and attachment to God and Cognitive Emotion Regulation(p<0/001). In addition the results of structural equation model showed that, Cognitive Emotion Regulation plays mediating role in the relationship between life satisfaction and attachment to God. Conclusions: The findings indicate that the model developed lends itself quite well to explaining how attachment to god and cognitive emotional regulation affect on life satisfaction. A greater focus on cognitive emotional regulation and proper attachment to god could lead to a higher level of life satisfaction among students. |
