Description
Summary:Mineralogical and chemical characterization of soils is important in for the use of soils as agricultural land. The soil from downstream Bârzava River was characterized and existing geological features of this soil were presented and correlate with the size surfaces. pH measurements of soils samples collected from three different locations and from two different depths were performed. The soil samples were also analysed in order to assess the major and trace elements content. It is known that the pH and heavy metal concentrations are vital factors for plant growth and the obtained results could be use in future for elaboration of some soil bioremediation techniques.
