Description
Summary:[Objective] Shanghai rail transit signaling system faces challenges including large scale, complex model variations, and inconsistent operational lifespans. Current holistic status assessment methods suffer from cumbersome processes, low efficiency, and complex calculations. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an AHP (analytic hierarchy process)-based status assessment method for urban rail transit signaling systems. [Method] AHP is employed to construct judgment matrices and calculate eigenvectors, obtaining subsystem weights and performance indicators. Based on scoring criteria for different subsystems and performance metrics, combined with their respective weights, an overall status assessment score is derived. This method is applied to assess the signaling system status of a specific rail transit line. [Result & Conclusion] Using this assessment method, the entire signaling system of Shanghai Rail Transit Line 11 is evaluated, achieving a score of 71.81 points, indicating its good overall condition. However, daily maintenance and repair safeguards should be strengthened. For the lower-scoring on-board train control subsystem and data communication subsystem, thematic studies and targeted improvements are recommended. The assessment results and response measures have been adopted by relevant maintenance departments.
