Description
Summary:The following article describes tactics of recipient management when a rejection episode of a heart transplant is being suspected. We have discovered some new figures to assess biopsy samples through computerised morphometric study, which can both improve and clarify biopsy results. CD3+ (T-cells) and CD 68+ (macrophages) figures make it possible to determine the extent of transplant rejection in accordance with the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation diagnostic criteria (sensitivity 91%, specificity 91%).
