Summary:Acanthomyrmex Emery, 1893 is a small myrmicine genus of the tribe Crematogastrini. Seventeen species of the genus have been recorded from Southeast Asia. Herein, two new species from Thailand (Acanthomyrmex malikuli sp. n. and Acanthomyrmex mizunoi sp. n.) are added to this genus. Both species belong to Acanthomyrmex luciolae species group. Acanthomyrmex malikuli was collected from hard dead wood on forest floor, while A. mizunoi nested in soil.
