Summary:Taking into account the priorities of the medium- and long-term energy policy of the EU, the paper defines key modern components of electric power competitiveness in the European power markets, including: price; technical; environmental; institutional, that allows to develop ways of improving the state sector and corporate energy foreign trade policy. A complex of internal and external factors of Ukrainian electric power competitiveness in the European power markets was identified for monitoring, analysis and forecasting of its dynamics and integrated decision making support aimed at development and efficient realization of Ukrainian power sector export potential. The main factors promoting dynamics for electricity prices in Ukraine are substantiated. The evaluation and retrospective analysis of price competitiveness of Ukrainian electric power in the European power markets, revealed a reserve of price competitive advantages in the amount of about 20-30%, which may increase in the medium term, especially taking into consideration the exchange devaluation in Ukraine.
