| الملخص: | Many crime fiction writers nowadays attempt to get noted through more “literary” works, which raises the question of the internal organization of the novelistic genre, and the ambiguous position of the detective novel within the literary institution. Simenon’s example is typical of these types of distinctions, even if claims of legitimacy have become more acceptable since the Nouveau Roman’s display of interest, albeit quite ambiguous, for crime narratives. Although the boundaries between genres are seen today as less rigid, French literature remains more compartmentalized than American or other European literatures. |
