Summary:Resectable renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with colon invasion is extremely rare and is usually managed by open surgery. To our knowledge, this is the first case report documenting the management of a patient with robot-assisted laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (RARN) with colon resection and inferior vena cava thrombotectomy. The procedure was completed without conversion to open surgery or major peri- and post-operative complications, confirming the technical feasibility of RARN in this challenging setting. However, given the complexity and high morbidity risk, this approach should be reserved for experienced surgeons in high-volume centers, and further evidence is required to define its role.
