Description
Summary:For the first time, a Josephson junction based on a biological molecule has been created. A device consisting of a single macromolecule or biological particle (MM or BNP) and a Josephson junction (JJ) is proposed. The MM or BNP is placed in the gap between the superconducting electrodes of the JJ. The choice of the Josephson contact as a device for studying the properties of nanometer macromolecules or bionanoparticles makes sense because the scales of the coherence length of Cooper pairs in superconductors and the sizes of MMs or BNPs coincide.
