Description
Summary:The paper presents a critique of the so-called ‘research specialism passports’ for architecture and shows inconsistencies associated with the inclusion of architecture in the category of engineering sciences. Architect training is essentially different from the training of engineers as the architectural educational programs include an extensive set of art disciplines. The proposal is to consider architecture as an interdisciplinary science. The purpose of this study is to revise the ‘research specialism passports’ in order to arrange them in accordance with the principle of division into fundamental and applied sciences.
