The article discusses the status and direction of ensuring energy conservation and energy efficiency in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Analysis of international experience shows that the problem of energy saving as a fundamental part of the strategic development of the energy sector continue to be relevant even for the developed countries, where output from the next energy crisis or the resource is usually accompanied by a transition to a higher level of energy and resource saving.Assessment of the consumption of fuel and energy resources testifies to the great lessons in the industries of energy saving potential, the value of which can reduce the demand for energy due to the active implementation of energy saving policy.
