| Summary: | The article features the study of Chinese phraseological units and their Russian equivalents that contain a somatism in their structure. Somatism is a noun meaning human body parts. The cultural significance of this thematic group is undeniable. The somatic idioms are the most ancient stratum of national culture. They reflect the history of human perception of themselves and the world around. The object of the description in this article is establishing the peculiarities of perception of somatic phraseological units by native Russian and Chinese speakers. The subject is defining structural and semantic specification of phraseological units “Body parts”. The aim of this research is to find the universal (general) and the unique (different) in the Chinese and Russian languages. The result can be used in cross-cultural communication between Russian and Chinese native speakers for communicative failure prevention. |
