The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities and trends of the development of public-private partnership in Ukraine and in the world. Such a formula of cooperation between the public and the private sector can create a new infrastructure, increase the efficiency and standards of service delivery to the community. The essence of public-private partnership reveals its sign, including the public need for a complex and long-term project, the participation of the state or another public partner, the common goal and interest, the equal nature of relations and the existence of common goals and objectives, the balance of resources, contributions of the parties and active involvement of partners in the decision-making process, institutionalization or formalization, the principle of justice, protection of the interests of economic competition, regulation of relations public-private partnership at the legislative level. The study has also identified the main forms of such a model of public-private partnership in the world as a concession that has gained the most popularity among other forms of public-private partnership in the world. Using the experience of economically developed countries in the development of public-private partnership will enhance the interaction of public and private sector in our country.
