| Summary: | With the rapid development of cities and increasingly serious environmental problems, energy conservation and environmental restoration are particularly important. Due to the high efficiency of membrane technology in wastewater treatment and polluted water recovery, its research has increased exponentially in recent years. Electrospinning technology has been widely used by researchers in the field of nanofibrous membrane manufacturing due to its inherently high porosity, high flux, and easy preparation of various materials. In this review, the application progress of electrospun nanofibrous materials in water treatment is presented, including membrane distillation, oil–water separation, solar evaporation, and water pollutant removal. Moreover, this review also summarizes the structural design and preparation method of these nanofibrous materials in detail. Finally, the challenges and application prospects of electrospinning in water treatment are determined.
