| Summary: | This paper presents the involvement of Knowledge Management in Process Improvement when applying Mexican Standards for software process implementation (NMX-I-059-NYCE-2011) and process capability assessment (NMX-I-15504-NYCE-2010). We discuss and characterize the types of knowledge found in a software development company. From this characterization, we distinguish the first two levels of knowledge involved in a software process improvement project based on knowledge.
